Design Technology
Cooking and nutrition:
In partnership with Edible Playgrounds and Organic Gardens the school has developed their allotment area. Each class has an allocated area which they are responsible for. They learn how to sow, grow and care for, harvest and then prepare the vegetables fruit they have planted.
Moorlands Primary School Curriculum
Questioning lies at the heart of the Design Technology curriculum. Each lesson begins with a key question for pupils to consider, pupils design, make and evaluate with a purpose. Communication and the principles of Philosophy for Children are taught alongside the subject-specific skills.
Pupils are taught to think like a Designer as they develop their knowledge of the topics covered.
