Year 5 have recently enjoyed a 6-week crash course in cricket skills! This was very enjoyable, and the children gained lots of different sporting skills.
Public Speaking Competition
Key Stage 2 held the semi-finals for the public speaking competition this week. Year 5 had the opportunity to write a fact-filled, persuasive speech about the negative impact sugary drinks can have on your body. The children loved researching and writing their speeches, and we were lucky enough to have one of our class go through to the finals. Well done!
On the 1st November, PC Shendy Blakemore, one of our school governors, visited the class to talk to parents and pupils about the importance of keeping safe on-line. She explained why Apps, games and social media sites have age restrictions. Pupils and parents found it very informative and it certainly made all that attended think about e-safety. Due to parental feedback, PC Shendy Blakemore is returning to school to present another E-safety talk; this will be for the whole of the school.
