Year 4 have weekly drumming sessions to develop their musical understanding and have been focusing on developing their gymnastic skills in P.E. The class book is The Explorer - will the children be able to escape the rainforest?
Year 4 have welcomed Mr Reilly to the school as their class teacher and look forward to working towards the Christmas production and visiting Hope Church.
Class home focus for the term - developing timestable speed recall.
Year 4 have made a tremendous start to their swimming sessions for this half term. Amazingly, we now have two thirds of the class who are able to swim in the large pool without the aid of floats! Year 4 have been praised by the swimming instructors at Wednesbury Swimming Baths for their determination and effort. Well done Year 4!
Recently, the school received a visit from Claire Mullin who works at the Houses of Parliament in London. She presented an assembly to the whole school in which she explained her role, the different parts of the Houses of Parliament and the important decisions that are made there.
Year 4 were extremely fortunate to take part in a debating workshop with Claire where she explained more about the parliamentary process and gave us an insight into how politicians debate, vote for and pass bills which are put forward. We held our own debate arguing for or against whether the cost of plastic bags should be increased to £1.00.
