Christmas Jumper Day, the school raised money which was sent to the Birmingham Children's Hospital.
We are pleased to announce that Moorlands Primary School has been presented with a defibrillator from Connors5 Foundation. Pupils took part in a skipping challenge in the Summer Term.
The Connors5 charity has provided this lifesaving equipment to the school.
The children in Year 6 who enjoy running proposed to the school council that they would like to raise money by running a mile. It was decided that the charity would be for Sports Relief. Year 6 also calculated the distance around the playground which is 20 laps of the Key Stage 2 playground. All children from Little Learners to Year 6 ran / walked a mile.
Children and staff wore Christmas jumpers for the day and raised over £40.00 for the Birmingham Children Hospital. A representative from the hospital, joined the school in February and delivered an assembly to explain the work that they do for children.
Children and staff came to school dressed in spots for the day and raised over £100 for Children in Need.
